Home Schooled Checklist

  • Application for Admission and application fee
  • SAT or ACT results (the writing component is not required); (SAT code: 6883; ACT code: 3444). Unofficial scores in the form of a student report are accepted provided the student’s name, date of the test and all section scores are visible. The Office of Admission reserves the right to validate SAT and ACT results by requesting an official score report from the testing agency. Superscore will be used for admission and scholarship decisions. TU will accept scores from both the current SAT and the redesigned SAT.
  • Official high school transcript from parent or home school agency should have the following:
    • List of courses by year, with credit and grades earned
    • Explanation of grading scale or method of evaluation
    • Cumulative GPA
    • Date and signature of home school supervisor
    • Description of curriculum, if available
    • List of course books used (optional)
  • Official transcript of college coursework completed before the time of application
  • Official transcripts from traditional high schools attended and from virtual high schools or distance learning programs
  • Letter of recommendation from an outside source

 

NOTE:  Final high school transcripts for home school students must have the date of graduation with the signature of the home school supervisor.
