Educational Background: BA in History from the University of Tulsa; MA in Applied Linguistics from University of Massachusetts Boston

Hometown: Tulsa, OK

Favorite spot on TU campus: The Old U (Dietler Commons)

What I believe makes TU special: TU has always had a significant, diverse international population and a strong reputation as an academic and research institution. It couples the quality educational experience with a more intimate size, where students can build relationships with their professors and get more direct attention and support as they learn. Being so close to downtown in a city that is on the move like Tulsa is an added perk, as students get to watch as the urban environment grows and changes.

Favorite Tulsa attractions: The Gathering Place, Tulsa’s Art Deco architecture, and the Gilcrease and Philbrook Museums

Favorite place to eat in Tulsa: Andolini’s, Lone Wolf, Sisserou’s, Burn Co., and too many taquerías to name here

When I’m not recruiting or reading applications, I’m … : playing guitar or drums, listening to music, taking pictures, traveling, or spending time with my wife and cats

Number of countries I’ve been to: 67

Places I’ve never been, but would love to visit: Iran, Peru, Bolivia, and Ethiopia
